Christian Schools

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Why

The sustainable development of any modern society needs well educated people who take responsibility for their own growth. We believe that in order to create sustainable communities, we need to invest heavily in Christ centered education which prepares students for redemptive leadership and service across our country and beyond. Education for children is not only one of the greatest needs in Ateiku, but also one of the greatest assets to further our mission to make disciples for Christ and end poverty.

Children who are given the opportunity to attend the Ateiku Church of Christ School grow into adults who understand their role as a child of God and explore their purpose to fully come to know who God is calling them to be as an effective member of their community.

Students are equipped and empowered with knowledge and life skills to then in turn share with others. We believe that an investment in a child's life through education yields the greatest impact for a community, as they grow to lead their homes through kingdom principles.

Our mission is to educate students to lead and serve with excellence.

Ateiku Christian Schools Mission

How

Since 2005, the Ateiku Church of Christ Basic and High School has been offering both day and boarding options to students ages 5-20 in our communities. We provide a high quality education in a rural setting. We teach using the Ghana national school curriculum to teach classes; in addition we offer Bible, French, and Computer Education along with vocational and technical skills.

Ateiku Church of Christ International School has a fully trained teaching staff in both the high school and basic school.  Every teacher holds upper level degrees.  Both schools are guided by a Headmaster and an Assistant.

We have a computer lab with computers available for use and a new library where students can study or check out books.

Impact

  • Our schools have a 100% graduation rate.

  • We have graduated 18 classes between our basic schools and high-schools since inception.

  • Our school has consistently won district and regional awards for best in academics and athletics.

  • We are the only high school serving an area in our district of about 150,000 people.

Needs

These children are the heart and hope of their communities. Help give them an education that will change their life and their community.

We have over 870 students at our school, 40% rely heavily on sponsorships and financial aid to attend. Help us give a life changing education to these students.

We are currently building more classrooms and staff bungalows for both the basic and secondary schools on our 230 acres of land. Construction is underway thanks to many generous donors, and we will soon have room for more students to experience life-change through a Christian education.
